I tried XDA Developers and it goes back and forth between it being a problem with the third party or Android Messages. I emailed Pushbullet and they never responded (and I'm a paying PRO user.) I contacted Join and they blame it on Android Messages and offered no support.

So, I tried Join and same problem occurs. The user gets the text but it just doesn't show up in Android Messages in the thread. Since moving to the Pixel 2 XL, any text I send from my PC (Chrome Extension, Desktop App or the website) will not sync back to my phone in the message thread.
